CNS, LAN, WAN, WLAN and VLAN Network Infrastructure Design
We design as standard a resilient CNS (converged network system) comprising a resilient high-speed fibre optic vertical backbone connecting all the active network switches and high speed Cat6a+ horizontal skeleton upon which all remote edge devices are connected (typically using PoE – power over ethernet) such as CCTV, WAP etc.)
In this way all systems operate over the same network as VLANs (virtual local area networks) rather than dedicated local area networks (silo approach).
We design wireless networks for Wi-Fi connectivity utilising the CNS to distribute access points around the building providing optimum wi-fi coverage.
In using a resilient CNS we allocate virtual local networks to each 3rd party system to segregate them on the network and provide high speed dedicated and secure channels for them.
