BREEAM-In-Use Certification (BIU)

BREEAM In-Use (BIU) is an environmental assessment method for existing assets. It enables property investors, owners, managers and occupiers to determine and drive sustainable improvements in the operational performance of their assets, leading to benchmarking, assurance and validation of operational asset data. 

This framework is underpinned by credible science, allowing the assessment process to identify valuable insights on the asset’s performance. 

Through on-going assessments, BIU encourages continual improvement throughout the life cycle of the asset, evaluating the asset’s performance in various categories such as Management, Health and Well-being, Energy, Transport, Water, Resources, Resilience, Land, Use and Ecology, Pollution. 

Our team will manage the entire certification process from start to finish, from the registration of the assets to the issuing of the final Certificate to the Client, including the management of the agreed expenditure budget and appointment of specialist subconsultants required to produce the surveys and reports required to meet the criteria of the targeted credits.
