St Pancras Renaissance Hotel – Levels 2 & 3 Refurbishment Completion
L&P Group is pleased to have completed a programme of building services upgrades as part of the refurbishment of Levels 2 and 3 at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, one of London’s most architecturally significant heritage hotels. Delivered for Manhattan Loft Corporation, the project forms a key element of the wider, phased enhancement of the hotel’s guest accommodation.
Appointed to deliver the Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEPH) design for these levels, L&P’s scope covered the refurbishment of guest bedrooms and en‑suite bathrooms, integrating modern comfort, efficiency and resilience within a highly constrained heritage environment. The works included upgrades to heating, cooling, ventilation, domestic services, lighting and power, all carefully coordinated to respect the historic fabric of the building and its listed status.
The project was delivered in close collaboration with Archer Humphryes Architects and Red Construction, with a shared focus on buildability, technical quality and protection of architectural features. A significant challenge was that the hotel remained fully operational throughout construction, requiring meticulous planning and phased delivery. L&P worked closely with the client, contractor and design team to coordinate sequencing, maintain guest privacy and safety, and ensure continuity of services during each stage of the works on Levels 2 and 3.
The completed refurbishment provides improved environmental performance and enhanced guest comfort while supporting the hotel’s operational requirements. Importantly, these improvements were achieved without compromising the character or integrity of this iconic building.
The successful completion of Levels 2 and 3 supports Manhattan Loft Corporation’s long‑term vision for the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, ensuring it continues to offer an exceptional guest experience.
