L&P Group set to play in Mental Health World Cup 2023
L&P FC will be participating in the Mental Health World Cup at QPR’s Loftus Road Stadium on Sunday 14th May 2023.
The Mental Health World Cup is the UK’s biggest and best community-led 5-a-side football tournament bringing together 40 teams and over 300 footballers to the 20,000-seater stadium.
The annual event was set up in 2012 in memory of Lanfranco Gaglione, the brother of MHWC founder Giancarlo Gaglione, and has reached more than 2,000 footballers, raising more than £180,000 for mental health charities including Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).
L&P FC will be represented by Team Captains Matt Bangs and Mohamed Mohamed, alongside Aaron Hughes, Abdoullah Imedouane, Nic Gandy, George Brady, Andrew Dobson, Ash Reynolds, Dominic Fleming, Nesh Sasikumar, Harold Laureano, Guy Elder, Molly Suters, Maisie Scawthorn, Shirome Bhandari and QPR super-fan Conor Kavanagh.
