Lucent Shortlisted for BCO Regional Awards

We are proud to announce that Lucent, the landmark mixed‑use development at One Sherwood Street, has been shortlisted for the BCO Regional Awards 2026 in the Commercial Workplace category.

Lucent represents the culmination of over a decade of planning, design and delivery, transforming a highly complex and historically challenging site behind London’s iconic Piccadilly Lights. Unifying 13 distinct buildings into a single, coherent city block, the development carefully retains and celebrates the individual character of each structure while enhancing the wider public realm at the heart of the West End.

Commissioned by Landsec and designed by Fletcher Priest Architects, Lucent successfully reconciles a diverse mix of uses—including creative workspaces, retail, residential and hospitality—within one of London’s most recognisable and heavily constrained locations.

The resulting workspace sets a new benchmark for commercial environments in central London. Flexible lower floors support evolving patterns of work, while exceptionally large upper‑floor plates are rare for the area. A tranquil internal garden, extensive terraces, and a dramatic rooftop restaurant create a workplace that prioritises wellbeing and connection to the city. Lucent is targeting WELL Core Gold and BREEAM Outstanding, reinforcing its credentials as one of the healthiest and most sustainable workplaces in the country.

Being shortlisted by the BCO is a testament to the collaborative effort behind Lucent and its success in re‑imagining a complex urban site as a world‑class commercial destination.
