St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, London
L&P Group was appointed by Manhattan Loft Corporation to deliver the Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEPH) design for the refurbishment of Levels 2 and 3 at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, one of London’s most significant heritage hotels. The works form part of a wider, phased programme to enhance the hotel’s guest accommodation while preserving its historic character.

L&P’s scope covered the refurbishment of guest bedrooms and en‑suite bathrooms, integrating modern standards of comfort, efficiency and resilience within a highly constrained, listed environment. The design included upgrades to heating, cooling, ventilation, domestic services, lighting and power, all carefully coordinated to respect the building’s architectural fabric and conservation requirements.
The project was delivered in close collaboration with Archer Humphryes Architects and Red Construction, with a shared focus on buildability, technical quality and the protection of historic features. A key project challenge was that the hotel remained fully operational throughout the works, requiring meticulous planning and phased delivery. L&P Group worked closely with the client, contractor and design team to coordinate sequencing, maintain guest safety and privacy, and ensure continuity of services during construction.
The completed refurbishment delivers improved environmental performance and enhanced guest comfort while supporting the hotel’s ongoing operational needs. Importantly, these upgrades were achieved without compromising the character or integrity of the heritage asset.
The successful completion of Levels 2 and 3 supports Manhattan Loft Corporation’s long‑term vision for the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, ensuring it continues to provide an exceptional guest experience aligned with contemporary performance expectations.
