We are looking for apprentices to join our growing business in a buoyant market sector.
Entry Requirements for Degree Apprenticeship
- A Level BBC – Must include Mathematics and preferably a Science in either Chemistry or Physics
- T-level (Merit or above) in Construction: Design, Surveying And Planning
- BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma DDM in an Engineering subject area, with a minimum of merit in Mathematics and Further Mathematics
- BTEC Level 3 National Diploma D*D* in an Engineering subject area, with a minimum of merit in Mathematics and Further Mathematics
Summary of Role
Responsible to the respective Design Team Senior Engineer. Acts as the point of contact for all technical and co-ordination issues.
Working Toward Key Duties and Responsibilities
- To take responsibility for the respective discipline on an agreed project
- To attend briefing meetings and ensure agreed milestones are attained
- To apply agreed document control and design management procedures
- To retain a positive disposition with respect to the company, its staff, and its customer base
- To maintain a programme of personal continuous professional development (CPD) and training to ensure staff are familiar with the latest technological and statutory standards
- To deliver specialist design and project management advice in a professional manner
- To work within a change management regime to ensure work is authorised before commencement
- To coordinate with other disciplines
- To apply the company standards and systems utilising agreed strategies standard details and specifications
- To be forward thinking and pre-empt potential problems with design development or project delivery
- To ensure calculations are meticulously recorded and filed on the project server
- To create design documentation for sign off by senior engineering staff
- Any other duties that may be required from time to time
